Faith-Integrated Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in Frisco, TX
Whole-person psychiatric care for children, teens, and young adults — in person in Frisco or by telehealth across Texas and Colorado.
Finding a child and adolescent psychiatrist who respects your family’s faith — and who has the clinical training to truly help — can feel out of reach.
I’m Dr. Steffi Mendoza, a board-certified child, adolescent, and general psychiatrist in Frisco, Texas. I offer integrative, faith-integrated psychiatric care that treats the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. For families who want it, I honor their beliefs and weave the spiritual dimension into care only as much as they wish; for families who prefer a purely clinical approach, that is always welcome too. Faith is offered, never imposed.
Why families choose a faith-integrated approach
Care that respects your values
Your beliefs are honored and woven in only as much as you want.
The whole person
Mind, body, and spirit — not just a diagnosis or a prescription.
Time and attention
A private-pay practice built around longer visits, not 15-minute slots.
Board-certified expertise
Board-certified in both General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Who I help
Children (4–11)
School struggles, behavioral concerns, irritability, and emotional challenges at home and in the classroom.
Adolescents (12–21)
Focus and motivation, mood and anxiety, self-esteem, and the pressures of growing up.
Young Professionals (22–45)
Organization and stress, mood and anxiety, and navigating work, school, and relationships.
Areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, DMDD, OCD, and PTSD.
How my practice works
I’m a private-pay (out-of-network) practice. This lets me spend real time with each family and use evidence-informed, integrative care that insurance often won’t cover. I provide a superbill so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement from your plan. New patients begin with a comprehensive evaluation; you can review current fees on my How I Serve page.
When a family wishes, I integrate the spiritual dimension into care, respecting Catholic teaching on matters of moral concern. Your family’s values guide how — and whether — faith is part of our work together.
